Telephony and multi-level alarm management during tunnel excavation.

Specialised systems manage telephony and multi-level alarms during tunnel excavation operations. The base station, mounted inside the tunnel at 300–500 metre intervals, includes an IP66 industrial telephone allowing calls to the outside, together with optical and acoustic warning devices. In evacuation scenarios the alarm propagates simultaneously along the whole line.
